It's That Time Again. High School Senior's getting that perfect portrait. Call us we are ready for you. 406-254-1010
The rain has stopped time to book your Senior portrait. It also a good time to check the yearbook deadline for your High School. Skyview High School is Wednesday Oct 17th. Not a whole lot of time to have your portraits taken and pick your favorite for the yearbook.
It all starts with your senior portrait. So make it the best. Having a friend take your Senior portrait may sound cool, but for an image that will represent you in the yearbook and for many years to come it may not be the best idea. We offer quality portraits at reasonable prices so why take the chance. Timeless portraits for the best time in your life.
It was them against me, as if these kids were old pros and they new that any old photography tricks were going to work on them. They were right of course. I have photographed this second generation of kids many times. Like their parents before them they weren't going to settle for anything but my best. I love this photo because you can see in their eyes the challenge "Be better than you were before". As I get older and realize the trust that my families put in me to get that just right image. It becomes apparent to me that the journey is more fun then the outcome. Even if I capture the right moment that the families buy it is images like this that give me the most pleasure. Knowing that maybe just maybe I will be around for the next generation and that my old tricks still work.
This is the third family where I have had the privilege to photograph all of the children's senior portraits. Casey is the last of his Brothers and Sisters who will be starting his senior year in high school. Casey and his family have been a pleasure to photograph over the years and I always look forward to seeing them. I guess it just is a reminder that they grow up fast and that portraits help us to remember where we have been.
Summertime is a great time for your children's portraits. This was taken at Riverfront Park. Beautiful weather and one of my favorite children to photograph.
When dressing for your Senior portrait remember you want your face to command attention not the design of your clothing. Remember little things like wrinkles in clothing, clean shoes and clean/groomed nails. Girls avoid wearing attention-grabbing jewelry. Again the portrait should accentuate your face, eyes and personality. Apply your make-up as you normally look on a day to day basis. If you have it bring some translucent powder. If it gets too warm a bit of powder can reduce the shine. Don't overdo the Tan look, it can look unnatural. Guys need to be clean shaven and don't worry about blemishes. Most smaller blemishes can be retouched. If you wear glasses help them avoid glare. Either buy or borrow a pair of suitable frames without lenses to prevent glare and reflections from the glass. Bring a shirt with your High School logo or a College shirt to show where you are going and anything else that is important to you. Most of all have a good time.
This is my Blog. Just because your supposed to have one. We'll see what happens.
